Success Story

As a community service the Solon Police Department has implemented a program to assist victims of crime. This program was developed to help and assist victims that have suffered physical or emotional trauma. The Victim Assistance program identifies victims through Solon criminal offense reports. All information is kept confidential and there is no fee for our services.

Our program does a follow-up with the victim. This follow-up includes: informing the victim of their rights, offering assistance throughout the judicial system, and provide referrals for counseling.

Here are the highlights of our program:

Criminal Justice Advocate
Provide guidance and support throughout the legal system
Provide information on local counseling services as well as hotline numbers and additional contact names.

Prevention Programs
Keep the Solon community informed of upcoming events and seminars, pertaining to family violence and abuse.

Please contact our office to speak to an advocate for further information or questions regarding this program at 440-337-1459.
