City Council

The Council's powers are legislative and it enacts the laws of the city. The Council approves the budget and spending of funds, the award of contracts, site plans for non-residential improvements, major subdivisions, authorizes agreements, and has various other responsibilities prescribed by the Charter and Codified Ordinances of the City of Solon; as well as the State of Ohio.

Council meetings are held regularly on the first and third Monday of each month, at 7:30 p.m. Meetings are held in the Solon City Hall Council Chambers. 

Meetings of Council are open to the public.
