Solon Brush Map
In order to guarantee the safety and efficiency of our staff, we ask residents to make sure their brush, tree trimmings, and other related debris disposal is done by following these guidelines:
- Brush should be stacked in a pile as neatly as possible with cut ends facing the street. Brush piles should not be stacked over 4’ high. Small amounts of brush should be bundled and tied for quick easy collection.
- Branches and limbs should not exceed 8 feet in length and should not be larger than 6” in diameter. If limbs or branches exceed 6” in diameter, they must be cut into sections no larger than 3 feet high.
- Any brush or branches containing thorns must be separated from regular brush or branches.
- Metals objects such as fencing, pipes and/or rebar should not be mixed with brush pile. This could cause serious injury to our employees and equipment
We ask that the amount of debris to be collected not require two of our staff members more than 15 minutes to collect. Any debris pile which exceeds 30 minutes to collect may be left and collected on your street,s next brush collection rotation.
Loose materials, such as grass (50lb weight limit), rakings, and leaves should be placed in
brown paper yard waste bags.
and should never be mixed with brush piles.
Yard waste bags should only be placed out for collection on your regularly scheduled refuse collection day no later than 7:00 AM on the scheduled day of collection and no earlier than 7:00 PM, the night before your collection day.
