Actively participate in the City of Solon’s bicentennial by celebrating the power of volunteerism. Our Time to Serve is now. Join your community, neighbors and fellow volunteers in the City’s pledge of 200 Acts of Service for 2020.
United we will give back and together we can exceed expectations. Therefore, we are asking local organizations, residents and non-residents to join us in this pledge.
In support of this stimulating initiative the City of Solon is partnering with Greater Cleveland Volunteers. In 1972 Greater Cleveland Volunteers began engaging volunteers via the national and federally funded RSVP program. Their resources now include working with volunteers 18+ years and older, along with the potential to provide information regarding opportunities to those not yet 18.

It is easy to get involved in the 200 Acts of Service for 200 Years initiative and make your efforts count toward our pledge. Simply click the button below to begin the application process. The link will open a page with a release*, and then redirect you to a Greater Cleveland Volunteers application form to begin the process.
After completing the application and release a representative from Greater Cleveland Volunteers will contact you to assist in matching your skills, experience and interests with openings. The website also provides the option to conduct a specific area (i.e. Solon) and/or an interest-based search. *The release provides authorization for Greater Cleveland Volunteers to share your volunteer related statistical data with the City of Solon. This will help us recognize your contribution to the 200 Acts of Service.

Upon review and approval, a description of your opportunity will be posted to Greater Cleveland Volunteers website. This will enhance your presence and provide interested individuals with the chance to assist your organization.
Collectively we possess the inherent capacity to empower and educate thereby providing everyone with the humbling potential to ease the pressure of nutritional, financial, environmental, educational and social burdens. In addition, our cooperative enthusiasm will help augment existing services and events inside and outside the beautiful City of Solon.
