Our mission is to provide an opportunity for local farmers, food producers, and artists to sell their products directly to the consumer in a clean, friendly and community oriented environment.
Our vision is to build relationships amongst our agricultural community by bringing together farms, local businesses, families and organizations to encourage a sense of community.
RULES & REGULATIONS
WHAT CAN BE SOLD
PRODUCE | Vendors will sell produce in which they themselves have grown or produced. Product must be grown locally, no more than 100 miles from the City of Solon.
EDIBLE ITEMS | Eggs, honey, homemade jams and jellies, fruit butters, cider & fruit juices, maple syrup, coffees and teas, spices and rubs, sauces, baked goods, dried fruit, nuts, meat products, cheese, and grains are permitted.
NON-EDIBLE ITEMS | Fresh flowers, plants, herbs, dried flowers, homemade candles and homemade soaps are permitted.
FOOD VENDORS & FOOD TRUCKS | Necessary license/permits required.
CRAFTERS | A limited number of artisans and crafters will be permitted to each Farmers Market. All items must be homemade or homegrown.
VENDOR RESPONSIBILITES
SIZE | Sales tables, trucks/vehicles and tents must be confined within your permitted space. Each spaces is 10x10. No “open trunks” sales will be allowed.
PRICING | Vendors will set their own prices and must display them clearly in writing. “Price wars” and underselling will not be tolerated.
VENDOR SIGNS | Vendors must display their farm/company/business name.
DISPLAY | Please display all edible products off the ground for sanitation purpose.
PRODUCE QUALITY | Vendors are expected to sell only quality goods. Lower quality or overripe produce must be labeled as such and may be sold for a discounted price.
INCLEMENT WEATHER | The Farmers Market is open rain or shine. The City of Solon has the authority to close a market early, open a market late, or cancel a market due to severe or inclement weather. No refunds will be given if the market is cancelled or disrupted due to inclement weather.
