Holding a BA in Music (Vocal Study) as well as having studied in the BFA Musical Theatre Program at Kent State University, Erin specializes in: proper breathing techniques, classical vocalises (warm-ups), sight-singing, Musical Theatre repertoire, Sacred Music, Irish and Folk music and Pop songs. Much of her vocal techniques have been tailored from years of private study, starting at the age of 16. Dr. Joseph B. Collins (PhD, Vocal Pedagogy) of Nashville has been her most influential Instructor, greatly simplifying and making known to her the best secrets of vocal execution. Dr. Collins' insight has inspired Erin to share the gift of singing with her own students. Erin has been privileged to see her students blossom into confident and award-winning singers, actors and storytellers since 2012! They have gained leading roles in regional theatre, university theatre and community and school musical theatre productions.
Erin has helped her students gain admittance into professional training programs at LAMDA- the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts, UNCSA- University of North Carolina School of the Arts, and Baldwin-Wallace University. Erin has been involved in Regional Theatre shows since 2000 including The Allen Theatre at Playhouse Square, The Nashville Repertory Theatre at TPAC, Cain Park and the jHalle Theatre. She currently sings professionally as a Cantor, Soloist and Performer for senior and assisted living centers, churches, theatres, area venues and special events.
