The City of Solon is seeking residents who are interested in serving as a member of the Audit Committee. Members are required to be residents of Solon and should possess a basic understanding of governmental financial reporting and auditing. The intent of maintaining a committee is to review the annual financial audits of the City and enable the governing body of the City (Council) to engage in evaluating the internal controls and financial reporting implemented by City management. Members of the Audit Committee serve the valuable role of independent oversight in the above stated areas of City operations. Members will be required to meet at least twice per year. A stipend is paid per meeting attended.
